Carroll Welte is an Extension Educator with a focused assignment in Community Resource Development.
Currently, her primary programming responsibilities include facilitating and teaching community, economic and leadership development concepts and practices, as well as skills for using information technology. She provides programming throughout the Northeast District and state.
Carroll earned her bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1977 and 1987, respectfully. Her undergraduate degree major included Textiles, Clothing and Design
with an emphasis in interior design. Her graduate program included an Interdepartmental Home Economics degree with an emphasis on housing and a minor in Community and Regional Planning.
As an
extension educator for 18 years, she has participated in numerous state and national trainings. She is a member of the National Association of Community Development Extension Professionals, the Nebraska Economic Development Association, the Nebraska Cooperative Extension Association and the National Extension Association for Family and Consumer Science.
